Weighing 20 grams, the malleable maps are printed on Tyvek, a light material that’s resistant to tearing and completely waterproof. It’s also 100% recyclable so you don’t need to worry about cutting down half the Amazon to fund your guests’ adventures. Notwithstanding the 8,000 miles and gallons of carbon they've offloaded to get here.
Priced at HK$155, the map features important streets, monuments, art galleries plus a must-do list of “SoulSights’. If you can get past the irritating label, they’re good places to visit from decent dim sum restaurants to top tailors. Of course, being your city, you probably have your own favourites so it’s more likely to be used as a genuine map rather than as a guide but it covers all the bases. It’s available from Sidewalk and the one question we really want answered is how indestructible is it?
And there’s only one way to find that out.
