Halo Get ‘em Up, Move ‘em Out

[26/03/10]

Leather. There is nothing quite like it. Whether you’re wearing it to protect against the elements whilst riding a purring Ducati, or sprawled on a patent Chesterfield doing the horizontal frog dance with some newly-met femme fatale, there’s something instinctual and undeniable about pure pelt.

Leather has that instant attraction, despite the greenie connotations; it makes James Dean look cool, Madonna look racy and Ozzy Osborne look just-plain-scary. And when it comes to furniture, bags and elegant old steamer trunks, there is no substitute.

At least that’s what the guys down at Gough Street’s newly-opened Halo leather boutique believe. Specialising in the design and development of vintage leather goods, from elegant leather-backed recliners, to opulent settees, wing chairs bags and even wallets, Halo offers the bonded décor solution for Hong Kong’s affluent set (because nothing dressed as an animal comes cheap). They also specialise in synthetic fibre furs, meaning you can roll around in front of the fire place as nature intended, without losing your eco-points. Halo also oversees the tanning process of its Argentinean and Italian hides, guaranteeing quality craftsmanship.

Furniture that would put a smile on the face of Madonna’s security contingent.
