Still, it really is for charity and NecesCity is sponsoring the push so there’s no reason not to participate. Supported by the central Movember organization, the unofficial Hong Kong grass roots campaign is raising money to tackle prostate cancer and hopes to be recognized as an official Movember outpost next year. To get involved you simply sign up to whatever official network takes your fancy and then attach yourself to the HK network. There’s also a gala party at the end of the month in Kila - so less of a gala and more of an evening in the pub – but there’ll be free drinks for all participants (men and women) from 7 – 9pm.
Aside from curing cancer, there are various goodies on the table such as shaves from the Mandarin Barber which is also handing out free trims and shaving advice throughout the campaign. That said the pick of the bunch must be NecesCity’s Man of Movember Hong Kong 2011 with Glenlivet. We’ve partnered with the whisky maker to offer a 25 year old bottle worth over HK$4,000. You can already start thinking about opening that eBay account.
Mo excuses.
