Landmark Men Landmark Floor Dedicated to Men

[19/07/11]

The Landmark has launched a floor dedicated entirely to men with many of the outlets (such as Gentlemen’s Tonic) already open for business. It’s got real appeal because men hate shopping. A day spent wandering from shop to shop, queuing for changing rooms and trying on ill-fitting jeans is less attractive than an economy train journey across the sub-continent babysitting rabid kindergarteners.

“Men are creatures of habit,” explained David Martin, Head of Retail for Hongkong Land. “They do not like to travel around for their shopping needs. Having everything in one place is convenient and preferred.” With that in mind, they’ve unveiled a 60,000 square feet space showcasing Thomas Pink, Valentino Men, Joyce Grooming, Tassels-Gentlemen’s Store and a host of other names that demand a wallet of Filofax proportions.

It’s certainly not a destination for casual shopping – think more Savile Row than Sham Shui Po – but you can always perk yourself up with the most expensive espresso in town at Fuel, which has also just opened a new branch in Landmark Men. If you work in the area and like a daily coffee as well as going on holiday - it’d be savvy to bring in a thermos.

Other little outlets include Altea Milano, J.Lindberg and of course the obligatory Universal Audio & Visual Centre. Remotes are a man thing after all.
Your birthday sorted.
