Legends Fighting Championship

[07/01/10]

It’s time to rum-ble!

To borrow a line from the cult classic Fight Club, “How much can you know about yourself if you’ve never been in a fight?” Although we’re not condoning Tyler Durden’s abandoned building bare-knuckle boxing matches (or his penchant for soap making), he just might have a point. Few acts are as instinctual as fighting, for defense or possession, and like golf, algebra and tying cherry stems with your tongue, some people are simply better at it than others.

On Monday some of the most dangerous men to ever wear silk shorts will do battle, defending themselves and their honor in the Legend Fighting Championship, Hong Kong’s first ever professional mixed martial arts competition (think Mr Miyagi, Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee combined), which brings together 18 top fighters, including Zhao Zilong, Vicente Pajaro, Adrian Pang, Yui Chul and Hong Kong’s Kenny Yeung – all of which come from different but equally deadly martial art disciplines. If you’re into watching two guys kick, knee and punch each other’s childhood memories away, in the name of sport and glory, then take a front row seat.

Bring on the Mayhem
