Electric Relaxation Formula E Comes to the Kong

[14/09/16]

Formula E, the world’s first all-electric racing series, may be in its infancy, having only started in 2012, but that doesn’t mean it lacks all the glam of its big fossil fuel-powered siblings, and next month’s race (October 8-9) in Hong Kong promises to be the cumulative party of the year for motorheads and earth huggers alike.

Festivities are being led by a name synonymous with high octane racing; G. H. Mumm Champagne is the official producer of those towering jeroboams winners like Lewis Hamilton use to douse crowds (and unsuspecting promo girls) from the podium, and this year the bubble barons will lead a series of race-themed events through September to help stir up the pre-race crowds. Kick off with special race-themed free-flow weekend brunches at the Conrad Hong Kong, Zuma, and Aberdeen Street Social, where great food and Mumm cocktails meet live music and interactive racing entertainment. Submit your podium victory pics and tag with #racetocelebrate and @ghmummhk for a chance to win coveted 2016 FIA Formula E HKT Hong Kong ePrix Grand Stand tickets (valued at HK$4,760) and an invitation to the exclusive unveiling of the new Mumm Grand Cordon bottle at Dragon-i on October 9.
For something a little later in the day, he Envoy will host Formula E on the Terrace parties every Saturday from 5-10pm, with special bottle deals, live music and sabrage demos, combining two of our favourite things, alcohol and swords. Finally, take things to the next level from September 30 as Mumm and #RacetoCelebrate take over LKF and Wyndham Street over four consecutive weekends, with eye candy and drinks specials galore at the likes of Tonic, Quinary, Rummin’Tings, Stormies and Linq.

#DareWinCelebrate – challenge accepted.
