NEvent: Cut&Paste Digital Design Tournament 2009

Can you Cut&Paste?

Raise your hand if you think Hong Kong has too much corporate culture and too little art and culture. For those of you who have your hand in the air, don’t fret, for tomorrow will bring a smile to your face and serve to tell you that there’s still hope for this city.

We’re talking about the Cut&Paste Digital Design Tournament, where you can catch digital designers battling it out in competitions involving 2D, 3D, and Motion Graphics.

Winners are not only awarded prizes, but also move on to compete with winners from 15 other cities worldwide at the first-ever Global Championship in New York. If watching people use Photoshop and Illustrator seems all too sexy, perhaps you’ll be inspired to try your hand at the Audience Design Contest. Whether you fancy designing a digital T-shirt in 2D or a 3D figure relating to evolution, you’ll stand a chance to win a full outfit from 55DSL (Diesel’s spin-off label) and a trip to the Championship event. Otherwise, grab some booze and enjoy the entertainment. DJ G from Club Pi will be spinning at the event and at the after-party in the VIP room of Pi.

Let the games begin!
