Awkward Family Photos Moments We'd Rather Forget

[10/09/10]

Sigh. We've all been there - post-nuptials, mid-birthday celebration, the odd christening - someone pulls out a camera with the very best of intentions and captures us looking worse than a freeze frame from a Ron Jeremy film. But it's even worse when the pros get it oh so wrong; in their often mindless pursuit of “out of the box” photography, they can have their subjects posing and prancing like a herd of randy, coked-up wildebeests. And now some smart alec has compiled the world's worst, just for your visual pleasure.

Awkward Family Photos does exactly what it says on the label; they specialize in all those pics you'd sooner just forget - unless they happened to a complete stranger, in which case they're priceless.

They've got photos from the most important moments of life, including graduations and weddings, birthday parties and wakes. There's the visit of Uncle Jack , the mega-goth, classic pics of pets and their owners, snaps of kids being kids , and fashion faux pas that should come with a capital punishment sentence.

Whatever you're into, take a moment out and leaf through the souls the camera has caught.

And cringe on their behalf.
