The idea is to replicate the microclimate of the natural salt caves in Eastern Europe which were historically used to open respiratory tracts, improve skin conditions and boost immunity. A machine grinds up the salt into a fine dust that's easily inhaled and absorbed through your pores. One session lasts 50 minutes and you simply relax and have a read in a room covered in salt. You'll be able to season your steaks on your forearms.
A trial costs HKD350 and they offer different levels of salt concentration in three different rooms, including one designed for children. We know it sounds too good to be true but our correspondent arrived equally sceptical. Your lungs leave feeling a whole lot cleaner, while your skin feels ridiculously smooth. It's a perfect place to hide after the madness of the weekend, to remember who you are, and reflect on what went wrong.
To the salt be the glory.
