Nobu Sushi Saturdays

It’s Sushi Saturdays at Nobu Intercontinental

When you think Japan, you think sushi, sashimi, bonsai plants, geishas and Sweet (or Gothic) Lolitas, depending on your preference. While it’s probably more difficult to bring the latter home with you, making sushi in your own kitchen to impress your friends or partner seems more plausible.

What better way to learn how than from experts on Sushi Saturdays at the internationally acclaimed Japanese restaurant, NOBU. Class begins with a light breakfast, after which Executive Chef Oyvind Naesheim and Executive Sushi Chef Hideki Endo will demonstrate the techniques behind making NOBU’s new style sushi and sashimi creations. With their guidance, you will then get a chance to try your hand at making Nigiri Sushi, NOBU Sushi Rolls and Hand Rolls. Towards the end of class, you will not only get to taste your creations with NOBU Label Sake, but also enjoy a special NOBU lunch, featuring signature dishes and NOBU Matsuhisa Label Chardonnay. You’ll also get to take home with you the NOBU kit, which includes the class menu, apron and recipes.

Once you’ve mastered the art of making sushi, perhaps you and your partner might consider engaging in some “body sushi”.
