Spanning 19,000 square feet (including a large car storage space), the new facility holds eight supercars at a time, four from each respective marquee. It’s light and roomy – everything you’d expect from a top car showroom – and it’s right in front of The Repulse so you can buy a supercar then have some cocktails. Only problem is you’d need a car to get down there in the first place… and a designated driver to get you back.
Apart from seeing a lion dance louder than a Meatloaf performance, we were also introduced to Ferrari’s new 458 Spider. Her hood closes in 14s and thanks to her V8 engine she accelerates from 0-100km/h in under 3.4s which is staggering when you think about it. It takes four times longer to close her roof than reach 100km/h. Priorities in the right place. Priced at HK$4,398,000, Ferrari’s first mid-engined hard-top convertible can hit a top speed of 320km/h which confirms she's saucier than a direct hit on a Heinz factory.
