Belvedere BEAT Kick Off Party Tomorrow Night
We’re all partial to a splash of vodka. It’s just so rugged. Whether it's images of high-ranking, female Soviet Union tank drivers drinking it for breakfast, or gregarious Polish families plonking down a litre on the dinner table before the salt and pepper - it appeals. Even if vodka & cranberry juice is no longer on the menu thanks to The Departed.
In celebration of its own particular brand of vodka, Belvedere is launching a series of parties and events dubbed The Belvedere BEAT. The festivities kick off tomorrow night at Dragon-i with collaborative performances from DJ Mouss and Beatboxer Eklips. The series runs until June 10, comprising 30 events in 20 juicy Hong Kong venues. Cranberry aside.
Belvedere's concept is to pair music with fashion, working alongside GUESS, Cheap Monday, Day Dream Nation and Square Street. You just hope they manage to bridge the gap better than the majority of high-street stores which bombard you with awful tunes as soon as you walk into their heavily perfumed doors.
Other highlights of the schedule include cocktail workshops and Krafty Kuts playing at Fly on May 7. If you're into breakbeats, they're well worth seeing.
