Fedde Le Grand at Dragon-i

[08/04/14]

Detroit is not a city we readily associate with techno music. We get its car industry; this is where General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler are headquartered, after all. With Eminem and Xhibit, we even get its affiliation with rap…let’s just ignore the fact that Detroit also produced Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker. But thanks to Put Your Hands Up For Detroit by Fedde Le Grande, which probably powered your big nights out around 2006 and 2007, it became realistic to mention techno and Detroit in the same breath.

Since the release of that epic party anthem, the Dutch DJ has gone on to be a prolific music producer, mixing beats for superstars like Madonna, Coldplay, Moby, and Fatboy Slim.

Fresh off a much-lauded, energetic set at Miami’s legendary Ultra Music Festival, Fedde Le Grand is bringing his world-class show to Hong Kong with an exclusive one-night-only set at – where else – the beautiful people’s favourite hangout, Dragon-I. From 10pm on Wednesday, April 16, Le Grand will be spinning newer hits like Where We Belong and No Good as well as older favourites like Let Me Think About It and Let Me Be Real. No doubt there will also be opportunity for you to proclaim your love for Detroit during the evening.

Go on and put your hands up.
