Daytime Debauchery Brunch HK Real Brunch Parties Arrive in HK

[22/08/12]

Real brunch parties, and we’re talking genuine fiestas, have finally arrived in HK. It all started when Avni Jhunjhnuwala went to NY to celebrate her little sister’s 21st, NY brunch style. Being a Hong Konger she was well aware of the city’s love of brunch and decided to take it up a notch on her return. There won’t be a pushchair in sight. Instead there’ll be a DJ and Robobabes trying to eat bruschetta while dancing sexily - an impossible task. Plus, we’ve got a table of 6 to give away.

The first party will be held this Saturday, August 25 at Goccia on Wyndham Street. It all kicks off at 11.30am and rolls until 5.30pm with a selection of appetisers to start, followed by mains like sea bass, rounded off with cereal milk ice cream covered in chocolate sauce. Naughty. The only down side is the event is called Daytime Debauchery which sounds like a 17-year-old’s Facebook album after a lads’ trip to the Costa del Sol.

DJ Gruv, an 8-year resident at Drop, will be on the decks, and although the food costs HK$350, the minimum spend is HK$650 so you’re guaranteed a few tequilas. That said, we’ve got a table of 6 to give away covering the meal (the HK$300 booze minimum still stands) which has got your band of brothers' name on it. To win, simply message This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the best place in HK to buy bacon. Think of the party as an on-island junk. You’ll still be married to the sofa by 8pm but won’t have to battle the ocean while trying to pee standing up.

Party time.
