Frites Beer Passport Frites offers you your passport to a lot of beer

[13/08/09]

If it takes only two beers to get you tipsy, then you’re known as a ‘fairy’ amongst serious drinkers. If you can down more than 15 in a night, however, then you’re more likely to be labeled as an ‘animal’ – which bodes well in a drinking contest like the one we dare you to partake.

Show off your alcoholic resilience at Frites, where the “Beer Passport” contest challenges you to drink everything on the menu, literally. For every Belgian beer that you drink (from Hoegaarden to Leffe), you’ll receive a chop in the passport. Finish all 34 in your own time, and Frites will hang a plaque with your name on it in the hallway. Finish them in the fastest time, however, and you’ll be crowned “The Beer God”, with your name placed around the huge dog statue at the bar for all to see. The current record stands at 37 hours and 5 minutes. An impressive time, but don’t be discouraged, as the competition is also open to teams. So gather up the biggest drinkers from your group of mates, and attack the bar as fast as you can.

Bottoms up!
