How about this: you’re travelling and have lost your wallet, leaving you penniless and stranded? Or, what if someone else got their greedy mitts on your pocket rocket and decided to break the bank – who’s really looking at those signatures? It might be time to embrace the digital age with a little gadget that keeps your cards safe as houses.
Wocket is the latest innovation in digital wallet technology. With a capacity of 10,000 cards, this pager-sized device can load and store all those vital credit, membership and loyalty card details, ready for access at the press of a button. A voice recognition system – they call it ‘biometrics’ - helps ensure only you have access to your device, and although it does has an app with which you can link Wocket to your smart phone, it’s perfectly happy as a standalone offline device, meaning it can go wherever you do. There’s a barcode display for scanning, and a plastic card that carries whatever details you tell it to, right to the register or ATM machine. Not only does it look cool as hell when you whip this baby out to pay for the next round of libido-enhancing libations, but think about what it does to that brick in your back pocket you call a wallet.
Time to embrace life without a limp.
