The Vintage Concept When Old is Good

While many of us are obsessed with the latest technology, new fashion trends, emerging destinations, and cutting-edge cuisine, there are also many situations when a few years can make all the difference. Wine ages beautifully, the right car can increase in value with the passing of time, and of course, there are those oh-so-rare The Graduate-esque moments when age and experience opens all sorts of new doors.

So it can be with the right kind of timepiece. The Vintage Concept specialises in high-end vintage watch brands like Rolex and Panerai, with most of their pieces dating from the 1950s. These vintage lines are now highly sought after by today’s savvy sirs, but you can get some great deals at Vintage Concept’s Lyndhurst Terrace or Mongkok stores, or online. In addition to their cool collection of grandfatherly but beautifully-preserved timepieces, the company also sells plenty of contemporary models, from Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet to Jaeger Le Coultre and Breguet, as well as imported parts for high-end chronographs, including bracelets and straps. They even do a line in vintage Louis Vuitton steamer trunks, which might or might not be useful depending on how many watches you buy.

Because with age comes wisdom.
