WilliamsWarn Personal Brewery World’s First Personal Brewery System

[27/10/11]

Back in April Ian Williams and Anders Warn unveiled the world's first personal brewing device in Auckland but it wasn’t ready to ship to Hong Kong. Even though they haven’t ferried one over yet, they’ve now assured us if they get an order they will make sure it arrives here safe and sound. We’re doing our utmost to spend your money as merrily as possible - science, gadgetry and man in pure harmony.

According to the founders, “The WilliamsWarn is an all-in-one brewing machine capable of creating commercial-quality beer in as little as seven days.” Which sounds too good to be true. Every time a weekend comes round you’ll have a new batch of beer. It’s the stuff of Carlsberg adverts.

The patents deliver minimal oxidation and hence some of the freshest beer in the world. Can you imagine inviting the lads over and offering them pint after delicious pint of your own beer? You might need to get rid of your washing machine to accommodate the device in your flat but what's a couple of shirts between friends?

The WilliamsWarn apparently solves 12 of the key problems faced by home brewers such as the carbonation process, temperature control and clarification. It all makes beer brewing simple and fast. One of the units costs NZ$5660 (HK$35,000) but if you think that’s too much to pay for a gadget just check out this video. What’s more, beer’s so expensive in Hong Kong you’ll save yourself a packet – so long as you consume your weekly quota.

You’d be the first in Hong Kong…
