Sake Masterclass Become A Sake Master

[08/12/10]

Real men know things, on this I think we will all agree. They know about cars and boats, about which back alley speak easy serve a mean Manhattan, where to get last minute burlesque supplies, and which way the odds will play in a jello wrestling match between Zhang Zi Yi and Tyra Banks. They know how to pull off Speedos in cold conditions, skip nightclub lines and cook up a mouth watering meal using the remnants in a bachelor's fridge. And they know how to order a drink, no matter where they've wound up and who they're out to impress.

NecesCity, Hong Kong's XY Bible, will host one of its popular Master Classes at Zenku this month, dedicated to Japanese sake, in itself an art form responsible for any number of karaoke-inspired, booze-drenched business decisions from Sapporo to Singapore.

Learn the complexities of this ancient spirit with six sake tastings, discover production techniques and understand the subtle differences between sake styles. Next time you're hitting the town you'll know just how to impress that Area Manager from Tokyo, or that giggling bevy of ANA crew.

Cause NC men come prepared.
