Kasbah Show Off Your Worldliness

[01/09/10]

So you want to make a bit of an impression on tonight's date? You want to show her you're a bit worldly, a bit 'in the know' – not Swedish porn production intern in the know, but more National Geographic photographer in the know; someone filled with great stories and a zest for life. For that you're going to need to set the scene; it has to be somewhere suitably exotic, somewhere that's enchanting and entertaining, where the food is authentic and the ambiance inviting.

Why not try Kasbah restaurant in Central? After all, the Moroccans are famous for their hospitality.

Named for the fortresses of Arab traders in North Africa, Kasbah's menu is alive with the spices of the desert, including cumin, cayenne and saffron. Try a Moroccan themed cocktail in the Medina Bar before sampling the likes of chicken with preserved lime confit; couscous with roasted lamb; and sweet and spicy pastries of pigeon meat and cinnamon in the dining room.

The décor is elegant and authentic in what is one of the city's most exotic venues.

You never know, she might be inclined to join your harem.
