Fusion Gourmet Let the Pros in the Kitchen Take Over

[10/03/10]

Now let’s get one thing straight from the onset; buying gourmet food, already prepared by highly trained chefs, to present in the comfort of your own home, to a visiting would-be suitor, is not culinary cheating. You’re not awarding yourself Michelin stars, you’re simply creating an ambience ensemble – homely surrounds and top notch nosh. You promised her intimacy, you promised her romance, you promised her dinner and mark our words, she will be fed. You just won’t be cooking it.

Because you’re a smart but time-challenged fella and home economics never sat well. But Fusion Gourmet, a casual eatery and gourmet market that just opened in Sheung Wan, has you covered. They not only serve a la carte meals, using all the exotic ingredients from their market, but also prepares food for a quick escape, including imported seafood and Wagyu steaks, Hungarian foie gras and blueberry tarts. If you feel like being creative (and pulling the Jamie Oliver card), there is every exotic ingredient you could imagine in the market, including spices, imported vegetables and foreign condiments and the smartest of the NecesCity brood would even let her into the kitchen, and into the game.

Of cooking we mean.
