J.Boroski Good Things Come to Those Who Seek

[15/08/16]

You’d have to live in a remote village on the Chinese border not to notice the leaps and bounds the Hong Kong cocktail scene has made these past few years.

Once, the only well-made drinks were found in the slick cocktail bars of the five star hotels. Today, bartender-driven cocktail bars are delivering innovation and imagination to a city that’s been on a frozen daiquiri and sickly sweet mojito high for a decade. The newest opening takes all the pedigree and heritage of global mixology to the next level, with cutting edge interiors and a unique concept that we think you’d just going to love – that’s if you can find it.

New York martini maverick and Mixsultant (sorry lads, he has that term trademarked) Joseph Boroski, who’s put in hours behind some of the best bars in the world, has teamed up with Dining Concepts to export his successful Bangkok cocktail divan J.Boroski to the Fragrant Harbour, introducing a creative cocktail space that’s based on a unique Cocktail Concierge Service. If you manage to find this Aladdin’s Cave of alcoholic pleasures, you’ll be rewarded with captivating interiors by Aussie design guru Ashley Sutton, and inspiring cocktails made for you, and you alone. The space’s approach is simple – take a perch at the beautiful teak bar, choose a liquor or ingredient-driven approach, and peruse the extensive selection of hard-to-find craft spirits, sourced from the world’s four corners. Everything here is entirely bespoke - there’s no menu, no scribbled blackboards, and no table talkers with happy hour specials. Instead your drink is crafted in front of you, by a curated international bar team, to your ever-exacting specifications. Like your Gibsons dry and your Manhattans crowned with a touch of absinthe bitters? This is where you’re going to get the drink of your dreams, and once you achieve such perfection, your tailored tipple is recorded in the bar archives, so such perfection can be repeated upon your next visit.

Because perfection is something worth holding on to.
