Morton’s The Steakhouse might have the perfect solution. Famed for its complimentary steak sandwiches at happy hour (which can be as hard to get your hands on as the original Paris Hilton DIY video footage), this 30-year-old carnivorous Chicago steak chain has launched a new “Bar Bites” menu of finger-friendly snacks. This means you don’t have to leave that warm bar stool for anything but a seal-breaker. The miniature crab cakes (HK$135), chicken goujonettes (HK$55), three pint-sized cheeseburgers on ‘silver dollar’ rolls with the works (HK$87; pictured here) and blue cheese fries (HK$90) will have your cardiologist panting, yet taste as good as a post-marathon lager. These Bar Bites are not only perfect for settling in, but also for making the rounds of Morton’s martini menu, a range of which is only HK$55 on MORtini nights (weekdays, 5-7pm). And if these bar-top man-apés don’t quite hit the mark, Morton’s “Steak and Seafood Promotion” (HK$550 per guest), running until the end of December, offers some of the best surf and turf in town.
Because vegetables are for chicks.
