Shakey's Pizza Shake off your hunger at Shakey’s Pizza

[04/09/09]

You’ve heard it a gazillion times over: There ain’t no such thing as a free lunch. Well, one local establishment has turned this phrase on its head, by offering free pizza (and more) ... for a year. While you might run the risk of turning into a meatball, you’d be insane to turn down this gastronomic offer.

To celebrate the opening of its first outlet on Hong Kong Island, Shakey’s Pizza is offering one lucky diner free lunch every day for a year. Just spend over HK$50 on five occasions before September 14th, 2009, and stand a chance to enjoy this win at the American pizza parlour, which boasts five other outlets in Hong Kong and 250 worldwide. You’ll find more than 20 classic pizzas (either thin-crusted or hand-tossed) and six special gourmet pizzas, such as King Lobster (HK$208; pictured here) and the new Peach and Duck (HK$128). Other dishes include pasta, risotto, soup, salad and appetizers (such as Shakey’s Famous Mojo potatoes; HK$32). With such a wide selection of great eats at affordable prices, you’ll probably find yourself chowing down at Shakey’s even if there’s no free lunch.
