Taking place on Wellington Street, it kicks off at 6pm and like Yardbird proper they won’t be accepting reservations. It’ll truly be case of ‘he who gets off work first wins’ because they’ll simply close when the food runs out. The tacos will consist of either pork, steak, or fish, and they'll also be serving homemade corn chips with a simple quesadilla. All the food will be prepared by Matt Abergel and May Chow from Yardbird - Shake ‘Em Buns is simply providing the venue. Although it would be a chronic waste, it has all the makings of an epic food fight.
Apart from tacos they’ll also be offering rock shrimp ceviche, tequila and cerveza(s) which will make for a classic, citrusy, alcoholic night of Mexican madness. Everything will be sold for HK$40 which is decent value, and although we haven’t tried the food, obviously, we’ll vouch it will be tasty so you can expect Americans in their droves. If we had a penny for the number of times we’ve heard them moaning about the lack of quality burritos in HK…
