HK Festival of Restaurants Bargain Menus Up For Grabs

[25/10/11]

The Hong Kong Festival of Restaurants takes place from November 7 – 13, essentially a chance to eat well at basement prices. If there’s a certain eatery you’ve had your eye on but haven’t tried because you keep coming up short at the end of the month, now’s your chance to get a very messy napkin.

The prices are pretty straightforward. You can enjoy fine dining lunches for HK$250 and fine dining dinners for HK$428. Alternatively, if you fancy casual dining that’ll cost you $88 for lunch and $168 for dinner, but let’s face it - who’s going to use their discount to eat casually? It’s like your boss taking you out for a meal and not choosing the steak. It’s mandatory to go big.

Of the 50 participating restaurants our picks include Chez Patrick, Madam Sixty Ate and Michelin-starred Bo Innovation. The latter is only serving a discounted lunch menu but you can enjoy a 6-courser there for only HK$250. To try molecular Xiao Long Bao for that price – the culinary equivalent of Miranda Kerr - that’s an absolute bargain. Bookings opened yesterday and they have 300 bottles to give away to those quickest off the mark so you’d better be snappy.

A feastival.
