Two Door Cinema Club & Delphic in Hong Kong

UK Music Rocks Our World

It’s no secret that the crap weather, stodgy food and general somnolent nature of the United Kingdom makes for brilliant music. Ireland gave us U2 and Van Morrison (and continues to apologies for Sinead O’Connor), Scotland helped create Simple Minds and DJ Duo Optimo, while England bequeathed us the likes of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and Paul Oakenfold. Now two promising newbies from the grey isle are set to hit the Fragrant harbor like a brick dropped from the ICC.

Fresh from Northern Ireland, Two Door Cinema Club will dazzle Hong Kong with the innovative electro-pop and Indie beats that have seen their US gigs sell out like lap dances in Las Vegas.

They’ll share the lime light with Delphic, another Indie electronic spectacular, who the Independent newspaper claimed were “on kissing terms with magnificence”, and who placed third on the BBC’s Sound of 2010.

Be sure to catch both groups in action in October when they perform at Kowloon’s Hong Kong International Trade & Exhibition Centre, thanks to Untitled Entertainment.

Think of it as the UK’s way of apologizing for Johnny Glitter.
