CKI Arthouse Unplugged The Beatles by Sir Peter Blake - All You Need Is…Art

[06/01/14]

In the 1960s, an unlikely British foursome took the world by storm with their innovative, daring musical stylings. Fast forward five decades and The Beatles are still considered to be among the greatest bands ever to have graced the music world, and classics like I Want To Hold Your Hand, Yesterday, and Eight Days A Week are still referenced in pop culture. Kanye West can compare himself to the big guy as much as he wants, but it’s unlikely that Yeezus has the same kind of staying power.

Art investment specialists Collins & Kent International, in conjunction with NecesCity, will pay tribute to the Fab Four at an Arthouse Unplugged event on January 17, where a live band will perform beloved Beatles tunes over cocktails and canapés. A number of works specially created for Collins & Kent International by the godfather of British pop art, Sir Peter Blake, will be on display alongside works by other modern masters such as Picasso and Damien Hirst. Blake is best known for designing The Beatles’ iconic Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover, and this event is a fitting homage to the spectacular oeuvre by the quintessential British pop artist. Founded in Sydney, Collins & Kent International specialises in exclusive masterpieces that truly symbolise style and verve, as well as offering affordable rentals and expert art investment recommendations with a guaranteed 7.5 percent annual return. Each Arthouse Unplugged showcase benefits a local charity, and all proceeds from the Beatles event will go to the Ben Kende Foundation. A donation to the foundation of $100 is required, payable on the night. The Ben Kende Foundation greatly appreciates your support.

Money can’t buy you love, but it can get you a night of art.
