Drum Jam

Do the Drum Jam

There’s no better universal language than music, in the way that it brings people together (and we’re not just talking about 2am on a Saturday morning after too many Heinekens). Whether you want to laugh or cry, it’s the perfect remedy.

Come together and speak the language of the people in a room full of percussion instruments. Over 70 are at your disposal at Drum-Jam, from six-inch wood blocks to giant booming bongos, all for you to make some noise with. No experience is needed as the monthly jam sessions (see website for dates and times) are for all levels of ability to attend. Experts sit next to beginners, and all join in as the night starts off with a few random booms and bangs, before descending into a room full of players, jamming to the same beat. Instructors are on hand to offer tips and advice to get your drumming game up to par, and to mix it up by giving you different rhythms to play. The class aims to motivate and connect people, as well as give you a cool place to jam.

By the end of the night, your mates will fight you for the instruments.
