The Human League Human League’s Debut Performance in HK

[15/09/11]

One of the most celebrated electro pop acts from the 1980s, The Human League, will have their Hong Kong debut on October 13. It’s a chance to re-live your glory days of clubbing except you’ll have markedly less hair and a Blackberry to ignore.

The Human League’s big hits include ‘Don’t You Want Me’, ‘Mirror Man’ and ‘Human’ so you won’t be starved of opportunities to test out your lungs. It’s also a chance to see middle aged men doing what you've always dreamed of - being rock stars. Who knows, they might even be tired of the party lifestyle and be jealous of your quieter living arrangements. A life with tax returns, lunches in front of a computer screen and bi-annual dieting. Perspective is a strange thing.

Having sold over 20 million albums, the upcoming tour date coincides with the release of their ninth album, Credo. During their reign they’ve influenced a variety of the biggest acts on the planet from Madonna to George Michael and Robbie Williams so you’re going to see a polished performance. Tickets start at HK$480 which is excellent value but also means you've got very little excuse for not going except for the debilitating power of nostalgia.

What a difference 30 years make.
